Here we go again...

Technology is the bane of my existence!

I discovered this weekend that a client placed an order via my online cart and I did not receive the confirmation in my inbox. If you have placed an order since Friday afternoon, please call me. I got online and did a mock order from a client gallery and I did get a confirmation. But just to be sure, if you have or are going to place an order, please follow up with a call to me. I don't want to miss anyone's order.

Thanks so much!

Phone problems resolved

My phone problems have been resolved. Please use 293-7823 to contact me.

On the drive front, I received it before the holiday and everything is intact. I am working 'round the clock (literally) to get all the galleries posted and orders placed. Thanks to everyone for their unending patience!

MAJOR Technical Difficulties

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry to have left my blog without update for so long. I've had to step away from blogging due to this very busy holiday season. However, I did want to let my clients know what has been happening in the land of Stefanie Weber Photography.

A few weeks back, I had an issue with my email. I believe my web host was hacked. This resulted in an Inbox innundated with over 800+ emails over a matter of 3 days. I simply bulk deleted all the messages, as they would come in hundreds at a time. If you tried to email me during that time and never received a reply, my sincere apologies.

The week after that, my worst nightmare occurred - a hard drive failure. And we're talking catastrophic folks. A 1TB external that I was using somehow became corrupt. I have 3 different forms of backup, so ALL was not lost. However, my DVD burner which I back up on was kaput, and my poor PC's hard drive was full. That resulted in several new sessions being placed on the drive. There was no way that I was going to lose all of that work. So, I sent it away to a data recovery service, and luckily they were able to 'rebuild' all of data on the drive. The cost was ghastly, but it was totally necessary. The drive is en route to me and if you are waiting on a session or order, I appreciate your patience and will have your precious memories to you VERY soon!

Then today...my phone died. I mean D-E-A-D. It won't even turn on. I am in the middle of getting the issue resolved. In the meantime, please call 293-7833 and leave a message. I apologize for any inconvenience ALL of this has caused. This has been a bad month, technology-wise for me.

On the schedule front, my calendar is officially closed for the year. Well, let me rephrase, all sessions booked from here on out will not be available until after the holidays. The sheer volume of work coupled with all of the technical snafus have really put me behind. I must focus on getting the work that I currently have on my plate done. This has been my best year yet and I thank everyone who has entrusted me to capture their family's special moments.

Once again, I thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this very hectic time. I will have all outstanding galleries posted very soon.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Email woes

I am having some computer/email troubles today due to a suspected virus. If you need to contact me, please call as I am receiving hundreds of emails and I am simply bulk deleting as I see them coming in. I apologize for the inconvenience...wish me luck in ridding my computer of this mess! ;)

Calendar update

Greetings blog readers! I apologize for my lack of posting here. Believe me, I have SO MANY amazing sessions to share. The very hectic nature of this time of year makes blogging almost impossible. With that said, I wanted to at least post a schedule update.

At this time, I am going to have to close my November calendar until further notice. If we have already talked, or if you are an expectant mother with whom I have set up a tentative date, no worries - I have held those dates for you. I am INCREDIBLY behind with proofing and ordering, and in order to get everything done in the time frame promised, I have to put a cap on November sessions. I am horrible at saying 'no', but in order to uphold the quality of work that my clients are accustomed to, I must limit what else I add to my plate. I thank everyone for their understanding. I will be holding sessions in December, however proofs from those sessions will be unavailable until the first of the year.

I want to take this time to thank everyone who has made this year so very successful for me. I'm so lucky to get to do something I truly love and I wouldn't change all the craziness that comes along with it for anything in the world!

Tweens and Teens

tween - n.
A child between middle childhood and adolesence, usually between 8 and 12 years old

I get the opportunity to photograph hundreds of newborns, babies, and toddlers each year. I've noticed that after toddler-hood photo sessions become less frequent. Lives get real busy with school, sports and other activities. But these years are just as formative as the baby years. That's why I was so happy when mom contacted me to photograph 'S' and 'A'. With older children, you can communicate your vision, and really take the time to compose a shot.

Gorgeous sister 'A'

And 'S', a very talented guitarist

Playing with some different processing and a background blend.

It was really neat to discover that 'S' had the same guitar teacher as my husband did 20 years ago. It's a small world!

Wonderfully made

This beautiful verse always comes to mind when I photograph newborns:

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Documenting these perfect little people always humbles me.

This is almost 3-week old 'I'. He was a total gem. He started out awake, and completely content, then drifted off to sleep.

Ah, a sweet little smile...

Another smile!

Beautiful fall light

Can I just be the first to say 'hallelujah' that Fall is here! I love this season. The cooler temperatures and beautiful light make my job even *more* enjoyable.

I had the best time with this family. The girls, 'H' and 'M' are so sweet. And you have GOT to love when a session ends with big hugs. I have had a run of such beautiful little girlies here lately!

Backlit, doing a little dance

Sassy!

I love the silliness here!

I loved setting up this shot...and the outcome cracks me up! ;)

Things are real busy around here and my blogging may be scarce here in the next several days. I will try my best to get all of my sessions blogged. I thank everyone for their patience with me during my busiest season. I am so very lucky to be able to photograph so many beautiful families!

My session with this little beauty was chock full of activities. We read Disney Princess books (she LOVES Belle), set up a tea party, played in her cute little clubhouse and lounged on the the hammock. She was such a joy to photograph. Since I have a boy, I don't get to experience doing 'girlie' things, so it's fun to do that with my little clients!

Isn't she stunning???

A session after the rain

Twins 'A' and 'T' have been coming to me since they were about 5 weeks old. I last photographed them before they were mobile. Well, here they are now 16-months old and very busy. I commented to Mom how they were like two ships passing in the night...catching them together is tough! They each have their own exploring to do! ;)

I loved their interaction with Mom and Dad.

Celebrating Adoption

I am a proud photographer for an organization called 'Celebrating Adoption'. This organization brings together photographers and adoptive families to document this very special time in their lives.

I got to meet 2-year old 'T' through Celebrating Adoption. I just loved his big brown eyes and the way he lit up when he played with his soccer ball.

I think 'T' stayed moving almost our entire session (thank goodness I have a rapid fire shutter!). Wouldn't it be nice to bottle the energy of a toddler? Once little ones learn to walk, they never slow down! :)

If you have adopted within the last year, or know someone who has, I would love to set up a complimentary session with them.
